The winter holidays are a wonderful opportunity to spend quality time with your family, enjoying cultural and entertainment events. Here are some ideas to make your holidays exciting and memorable.

Strolls in Parks and Central Squares

The festive decorations in the central parks and squares of Ashgabat, Arkadag, and other cities in the velayats delight both residents and visitors of Turkmenistan. Christmas trees, vibrant photo zones, and holiday ornaments create a magical atmosphere. Visit these parks and squares to soak in the holiday spirit, take memorable photos, and enjoy the fresh air. The sunny and warm weather this season adds to the charm of outdoor activities.

A Family Trip to the Theater

During school holidays, theaters across the country present performances for children. These shows are a chance to immerse yourself in a magical atmosphere and introduce kids to the art of theater.

Museum Exhibitions and Historic Landmarks

Museums throughout Turkmenistan host regular exhibitions where you can learn more about the country’s cultural heritage and explore unique artifacts. Curious kids will especially enjoy these visits. Exploring historical landmarks is another enriching way to learn about the nation's history.

Circus Show

The State Circus of Turkmenistan is currently hosting a festive show titled "Akylly ýylan we Aldarköse". The program features acrobatic performances by the "Turkmen Horsemen" troupe, artists from the national equestrian games group Galkynysh, and amusing acts with Indian macaques, Bactrian camels, and playful poodles from Germany. Performances are held daily until January 10, 2025.

Indian Music Concert

For fans of live music and cultural events, a special musical evening dedicated to Indian cinema will be held on January 9 at the Mukams Palace of the State Cultural Center of Turkmenistan. Organized by the Embassy of India in Ashgabat in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture of Turkmenistan, the event will feature musicians from the State Symphony Orchestra of Turkmenistan performing popular Bollywood melodies. Tickets can be collected free of charge at the Embassy of India from January 4 to 7, between 2:00 PM and 4:00 PM.
