Advancing the 5G revolution and 6G innovations will be one of the priorities for the Chinese government next year.

As stated by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology at its working conference, China plans to build 4.5 million 5G base stations by 2025.

Along with the promotion of 5G, the ministry will initiate tests of 10-gigabit optical networks and aims to optimize data centers to ensure seamless integration between network and computing capabilities.

According to the ministry's forecasts, China's industrial production is expected to grow by 5.7% year-on-year, maintaining a stable contribution to GDP growth.

Revenue from the telecommunications sector, software, and IT services is projected to grow by about 11% year-on-year.

Innovative policies will also be adopted in the fields of biomanufacturing, quantum technologies, embodied intelligence, and atomic-level manufacturing. The ministry also announced plans to expand the use of the BeiDou Navigation Satellite System.
