The Oguz Khan Engineering and Technology University of Turkmenistan takes a responsible approach to achieving sustainable development goals, the rational use of natural resources, and environmental protection. The university's work in these areas is highly regarded not only within the country but also internationally. This is evidenced by the university's success in the "UI GreenMetric World University" ranking.

This year, the Oguz Khan Engineering and Technology University has risen by 104 positions and ranked 328th in the annual "UI GreenMetric World University" ranking of sustainable development in universities. The university scored a total of 7,400 points, distributed as follows:

Infrastructure and Buildings: 1,200 points

Energy and Climate Change Mitigation: 1,475 points

Waste Management: 1,125 points

Water Resource Management: 750 points

Environmentally Friendly Transport: 1,475 points

Education and Research: 1,375 points

This success demonstrates that in Turkmenistan, both at the government level and in higher education institutions, significant attention is being paid to the development of science and education in the fields of ecology and environmental protection.

The UI Green Metric World University Ranking is an annual ranking that measures universities' efforts to improve their environmental infrastructure and their contributions to sustainable development in environmental protection.

The founders of the UI Green Metric World University Ranking aim to raise awareness in the academic community about the need for policies promoting environmental sustainability to address certain ecological issues.
