The President of Turkmenistan received the credentials of the new Ambassador of Uzbekistan
On December 13, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov received new Ambassador of the Republic of Uzbekistan to Turkmenistan Ravshanbek Alimov, who presented the head of state with his credentials.
The diplomat conveyed cordial greetings from President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to the President of Turkmenistan, as well as to National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. The guest emphasized that it is a great honor for him to represent his country in Turkmenistan, with which Uzbekistan is connected by long-standing ties of friendship and brotherhood, common spiritual, cultural and historical values.
Having conveyed warm greetings in return to the President of Uzbekistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov congratulated the ambassador on his appointment and wished him success in developing and strengthening interstate cooperation, which is invariably characterized by a respectful and trusting character. We highly value the time-tested relations with the neighboring country, the deepening of which is one of the priorities of the foreign policy of neutral Turkmenistan, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted.
The head of state and the ambassador noted the high level of fruitful dialogue, which is successfully developing both on a bilateral basis and within the framework of multilateral cooperation with authoritative regional and international organizations. In recent years, the partnership between Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan has demonstrated dynamic development in a variety of areas, among which special importance is attached to trade and economic ties. An important component of bilateral cooperation remains the humanitarian sphere.
Ravshanbek Alimov assured the President that he would do everything possible to strengthen Turkmen-Uzbek relations, wishing the head of state new outstanding successes in noble large-scale activities, and the Turkmen people - peace and prosperity.
