A Council for the Development of AI will be established in Kazakhstan
13.12.2024 | 13:50 |Kazakhstan's President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has tasked the creation of a council for the development of artificial intelligence in Kazakhstan. This was reported by the international news agency Kazinform, citing the Akorda.
The council will ensure the synchronization of Kazakhstan's institutional environment with advanced global standards.
Noting the vast potential of the country's IT sector, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev outlined the goals of making Kazakhstan the largest digital hub in Eurasia.
Earlier, the initiative to establish a National Center for Artificial Intelligence was also proposed.
"The international center AlemAI should become the epicenter of the AI movement and a symbol of Kazakhstan's digital transformation. It will house research and development laboratories, a programming school, and offices for international technology companies," said Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
