Turkmenistan and the UAE aim to improve partnership in the energy sector
26.11.2024 | 09:59 |National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held a meeting with the UAE Minister of Energy and Infrastructure Suhail Al Mazrouei and Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology, Director General of the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company Soltan Ahmed Al Jaber.
Having confirmed the desire to further expand bilateral partnership, the National Leader of the Turkmen people invited the Emirati partners to actively participate in major energy projects being implemented in Turkmenistan. He emphasized Turkmenistan's readiness to consider specific proposals in this area.
Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted the great contribution of leading UAE companies to the development of the domestic fuel and energy complex, as well as the jointly accumulated many years of positive experience in this area. He emphasized the high demand in the world market for gas chemical products manufactured in Turkmenistan, and spoke about the great interest of the states of the region in importing Turkmen gas.
In this regard, the importance of the implementation of the project to build the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India transnational gas pipeline was noted. And recently, an industrial flow of natural gas with a daily flow rate of 2 million cubic meters was obtained at the Galkynyş gas field.
