Global players at CIET 2024 share experiences and ideas for developing energy and gas chemistry
04.11.2024 | 12:53 |The International Conference "Construction, Industry and Energy of Turkmenistan" (CIET 2024), which opened in Ashgabat on November 3, continued on Monday. As part of it, there was held a session on "Accelerating the monetization and diversification of hydrocarbon resources with an emphasis on energy, gas chemistry and fertilizer production".
The participants considered such aspects as the monetization of traditional energy sources, renewable energy sources, as well as the modernization of existing gas chemical complexes and power plants, the construction of new generating capacities. In addition, global trends in the production of chemical fertilizers were analyzed.
Speakers at this session included heads of relevant Turkmen departments - Minister of Energy Annageldi Saparov, Chairman of the State Concern "Turkmenhimiya" Dovrangeldi Sapbayev, Minister of Agriculture Charyar Chetiev.
From foreign partners, their proposals and opinions were expressed by General Director of the branch of the South Korean "Daewoo Engineering & Construction Co., Ltd." in Turkmenistan Min Manjun, Director for Turkmenistan of the company "Hyundai Engineering Co., Ltd." Ji Hwan, GIZ coordinator in Turkmenistan Joachim Fritz, Director of the branch of the Turkish "Rönesans Endüstri Tesisleri Inşaat Sanayı ve tıcaret anonım şirketi" in Turkmenistan Erdem Irsel, representative of the American information and analytical agency S&P Global Commodity Insights Allan Pickett. Tomohiro Takashina, head of the representative office in Turkmenistan of the Japanese corporation Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Ltd, joined the discussions of the prospects for online cooperation.
CIET 2024 is being held at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan from November 3 to 5, and also includes an exhibition of products, services and projects of about 100 domestic and foreign exhibitors representing leading manufacturers, developers and other market participants. This underlines the growing interest of foreign companies in cooperation with Turkmenistan in key sectors such as energy and gas chemistry.
The participation of major international players demonstrates confidence in the country's economic potential and its desire to diversify energy sources. It is expected that new projects in these areas will not only accelerate the development of the Turkmen economy, but also create a platform for the introduction of modern technologies and practices, which is mutually beneficial for all parties.
