Tbilisi is set for active cooperation with Turkmenistan on transport and energy
04.10.2024 | 19:45 |On 4 October 2024, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan in Georgia D.Seyitmammedov met with Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia G.Guramishvili.
During the meeting, the parties discussed prospects for deepening mutually beneficial trade, economic and investment cooperation. Particular attention was paid to the role of the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Georgian Commission, which actively promotes the development of partnership between the two countries.
Energy and transport were identified as key areas of cooperation. The meeting participants considered the possibilities of implementing joint projects in the field of transport, logistics and energy infrastructure. They also noted the importance of transport and transit corridors for strengthening economic ties, developing production and energy cooperation, trade and investment.
The meeting ended with the confirmation of the parties' determination to advance cooperation in the interests of the peoples of Turkmenistan and Georgia.
