Chairman of the Turkmensvyaz Agency Hajymyrat Hudayguliyev held talks with high-ranking delegations of the French companies Airbus and Thales SIX GTS France SAS in Paris on Wednesday, April 24.

At meetings of the leadership of the Communications Department of Turkmenistan with representatives of one of the largest aircraft manufacturing companies in the world and a leading developer of telecommunications solutions for the aerospace and transport industries, prospects for cooperation and the implementation of joint projects, including in the space sector, were discussed.

Cooperation with Airbus opens up unique opportunities for Turkmenistan in the field of space. In the international context, the development of the space industry plays an important role, and Turkmenistan, having become a reliable partner of the largest companies, is ready to actively introduce advanced technologies and promote space research in the region and the world, the agency noted.

The parties expressed their willingness to cooperate and stressed the importance of a long-term strategic partnership in the field of space technologies. This meeting marks an important stage in the development of Turkmenistan's space industry and strengthens its status as an active participant in international space programs and research.

At a meeting with representatives of Thales SIX GTS France, the parties discussed prospects for cooperation in the field of cybersecurity and communication systems, as well as issues of bilateral cooperation in the field of space.

Thales SIX GTS France is positioned as the number one in Europe and one of the first in the world in the field of cybersecurity and communication systems, as well as a major player in the field of space. Representatives of both sides expressed interest in deepening cooperation and stressed the importance of long-term partnership. The discussion of cooperation issues took place in a friendly and constructive atmosphere, which underlines the readiness of both sides for mutually beneficial cooperation.

The meetings were held on the sidelines of the international investment forum TEIF 2024, which is taking place on April 24-25 in Paris. The Chairman of the Turkmensvyaz Agency will speak at a session on attracting investments in new infrastructure projects in Turkmenistan, including the creation and operation of satellite communication systems.
