The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan took part in the “Russia – Central Asia” meeting in Minsk
13.04.2024 | 04:10 |On April 12, a regular meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Commonwealth of Independent States was held in Minsk. The meeting was attended by the heads of the ministries of foreign affairs of the CIS member countries, the Secretary General of the CIS, his deputies and heads of structural divisions of the Commonwealth Executive Committee. From the Turkmen side, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Serdar Muhammetdurdyev took part in the meeting.
During the current meeting, a detailed exchange of views on current issues on the international agenda and interaction in the CIS format took place. The most important directions for future multilateral cooperation in the fields of politics, trade, economics and culture for the coming period have been identified.
At the end of the meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the CIS, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Serdar Muhammetdurdyev took part in the seventh meeting of foreign ministers in the “Russia - Central Asia” format.
The participants reviewed the issues agreed upon on the agenda of the meeting, including the results of the first Russia-Central Asia summit, issues of cooperation
in the economy, green energy and ecology, as well as issues of regional security, the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Belarus reported.
Diplomats emphasized the need to complete work on the list of activities promoting six-party cooperation in the fields of economics, energy, transport, medicine, ecology, culture and education.
