Samsung has become the largest TV manufacturer in the world for the 18th year in a row. By the end of last year, the company occupied 30.1% of the TV market.

According to analysts at Omdia, a research company specializing in technology market analysis, Samsung has further strengthened its status as an industry leader in 2006.

The success of the Korean manufacturer is associated with the focus on large-screen models and premium TVs, that is, products with QLED and OLED screens.

Since its launch in 2017, Samsung’s QLED TV line, including the latest Neo QLED models, has seen over 40 million sales. In 2023 alone, 8.31 million QLED models were sold. Of particular note are the figures in the segments of TVs with a diagonal of more than 75 inches and a price above $ 2,500. The company’s share in sales of models over $2,500 was 60.5%; in the segment with a diagonal of more than 75 inches — 33.9%; and in the segment over 90 inches — 30.4%.

Moreover, the company has achieved significant success in the OLED TV segment, selling 1.1 million such models in 2023. Samsung plans to increase sales in 2024.

The company also plans to continue the innovative development of its products through AI-based technologies. For example, at the International Consumer Electronics Show (CES 2024), the company Introduced the revolutionary NQ8 AI Gen3 processor, which scales images and increases its clarity using artificial intelligence algorithms.
