The Ministry of Agriculture of Turkmenistan is being reorganized with the department of industry associations
President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, at a government meeting on Friday, February 9, signed a decree on the reorganization of the Ministry of Agriculture of Turkmenistan.
According to the document, due to separation from the Ministry of Agriculture, the State Association “Türkmengallaönümleri” (Turkmenzerno), the State Association of the Food Industry, the State Association of the Livestock and Poultry Industry, the State Concern “Türkmenpagta” (Turkmencotton) and the State Association “Türkmenobahyzmat” (Turkmenselkhozservice) will be created.
These structures are determined by the legal successors of the Ministry of Agriculture of Turkmenistan in the relevant areas.
This measure was taken in order to radically reform the country’s agriculture and increase the efficiency of this sector through improved management, as reported in the news release of the Turkmen State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company.
