The 7th meeting of the Intergovernmental Turmen-Azerbaijani Commission, as well as a bilateral business forum, will be held in Ashgabat on November 27-28. Deputy Prime Minister Batyr Atdayev, who heads the Turkmen composition of the IGC, reported on the preparation of these events at a meeting of the Turkmen government on Friday.
Participation in the business forum is expected from companies engaged in the oil and gas industry, textile industry, agriculture and food production, construction and production of building materials, pharmaceutical industry, transport and logistics sector, information technology, etc. Following the forum, bilateral agreements are planned to be signed.
The previous, 6th meeting of the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Azerbaijani Commission on Economic Cooperation was held a year ago in Baku.
On the agenda for expanding Turkmen-Azerbaijani multifaceted cooperation are issues of interaction in the field of transport and energy, promotion of economic cooperation projects and joint business projects.
