The art Director of the Sounds of Dutar festival told what will happen at its venues
11.10.2023 | 17:05 |The competition of young musicians is the creative core of the Moscow International Art Festival "Sounds of Dutar" named after Nury Halmamedov, which will be held for the seventh time in the Russian capital from October 29 to November 4. One of the most important tasks of the festival is to preserve the spirit of classical music in a modern context. Following this intention, its organizers welcomed everyone who wanted to participate in the competition and received a record number of applications this year.
Not only schoolchildren from 7 years old and students of music schools and the Turkmen National Conservatory applied from Turkmenistan, but also professionals - teachers and artists of the State Symphony Orchestra, as well as three children's choirs from Ashgabat and from the Lebap region. I even had to make changes to the program and schedule auditions for another day.
There is a lot of work to be done, but the founders and direct "performers" of such a unique project as the Sounds of Dutar festival only rejoiced at such an active interest. And now the program has been adjusted, and the preparation for the seven-day music marathon has reached the finish line. Mammed Huseynov, the author of the project and art director of the Sounds of Dutar festival, chairman of the Turkmen regional branch of the Union of Composers of Eurasia, tells about what will happen at its venues:
– The festival will open with a concert presentation of a collection of selected vocal compositions by Nury Halmamedov. The release of the collection of romances edited by opera singer Daria Huseynova is timed to the 85th anniversary of the birth of the Turkmen composer.
According to the established tradition of the festival, the program includes a large scientific layer. For example, on October 30, at the site of the Music Department of the Russian State Library in one of the most beautiful buildings in Moscow - the famous Pashkov House - an international scientific and practical conference "Problems of formation of national composing schools in a multicultural space" will be held.
The conference initially assumed the participation of speakers only from CIS countries, but during the preparation of the program, speakers from other countries also joined the forum. I am glad that there will be more than 30 speakers from Turkmenistan - prominent musicologists and scientists.
The festival will also host an educational project – the Academy of Music Technologies, which will be attended by piano teachers, concertmasters, theorists and musicians of other specialties. Within the framework of the project, there will be free seminars and practical classes of a professional orientation, including a workshop "The problems of using modern digital pianos in teaching and concert activities. Questions about the choice of tools. Features and nuances when working with a student, practical tips".
All teachers attending the seminar will receive a personal certificate of the advanced training course from the Academy of Music Technologies, as well as a methodological guide "Features of digital piano teaching in a modern musical environment", recommended by the heads of the Piano Department of the Russian Academy of Music. The Gnessins. The publication contains materials on the topics of the seminar, links to videos in the form of QR codes, a small terminology dictionary. In addition, the seminar participants will have the opportunity to participate in a special program to support music education from the project partner.
As part of the VII Moscow International Art Festival "Sounds of Dutar", on November 4, the Russian Academy of Arts will present the project "On the Shore of the Gray Caspian Sea" by artist Darius Asadullaev. A series of graphic works inspired by the work of Nury Halmamedov "Kechpelek" is based on memories of childhood spent in Cheleken.
On October 31 and November 1, the auditions of the Competition of musicians of performers of various specialties for the best performance of academic music in ethno-cultural traditions will be held. The gala concert and awarding of the laureates will take place on November 4 at the RAH Museum and Exhibition Complex, on Prechistenka, 19.
We invite everyone to our festival to plunge into the wonderful world of classical music!
