Turkmen karate players won four medals at the World Cup in Tashkent
10.10.2023 | 14:56 |Turkmen athletes won four medals – two gold and two silver – at the World Cup in traditional karate, which was held in the capital of Uzbekistan, Tashkent. This was reported to the ORIENT correspondent in the State Committee for Physical Culture and Sports of the country.
Awards of the highest standard were awarded: in the discipline of kumite (duels) Selim Muratdurdiyev and Nurgeldy Annagurbanov, a first-year student of the Turkmen State Institute of Physical Culture and Sports, in an individual card (demonstration of formal exercises) among cadets.
Selim Muratdurdiyev also rose to the second step of the podium in the discipline of the map. Eziz Zakiryaev brought another silver medal to the national team’s piggy bank.
It should be noted that the Turkmen delegation was represented at the international tournament by 14 people, including 8 athletes.
