The 17th Youth Delphic Games of the CIS countries are taking place in the capital of Kyrgyzstan. About 600 boys and girls from 10 to 25 years old are participating in a kind of Olympiad in the world of art as part of the national teams of their countries. For the first time, young talents from Turkmenistan also came to the competition.

On the second day of the Games, October 9, an award ceremony for the winners of competitions in fine arts and artistic crafts took place at the Kyrgyz National Museum of Fine Arts named after G. Aitiev. Among the winners are young artists from Turkmenistan Selbi Nuryagdyeva and Vepa Yazmuradov - they received special diplomas for stylistic unity, the Kyrgyz agency Kabar reports.

The jury of the Delphic Games included more than 30 prominent artists, professors and doctors of art history from the CIS. In the category of fine arts, the works of the contestants were evaluated by Honored Artist of the Kyrgyz Republic Taalai Kurmanov and People's Artist of the Russian Federation Sergey Gagauzov. Based on the results of the competition days, all winners of the Games will be awarded gold, silver and bronze medals.

Earlier, Orient wrote that a talented creative youths went from Turkmenistan to the Delphic Games - students of children's art schools in the city of Ashgabat and regional centers, as well as students of music educational institutions of the country.

Competitions are held in 10 categories: piano, violin, fine arts, academic singing, solo folk singing, pop singing, folk dance, folk instruments, wind instruments, artistic crafts. Hundreds of boys and girls representing Commonwealth countries are participating in the competition.
