Shahrukh Turaev, the candidate for master of sports, who was considered the main contender for victory, finished second (FIDE rating – 2193), who showed a 100 percent result at the end of 8 rounds, but eventually scored 9.5 points due to three draws allowed at the finish of the tournament.

Serdar Seyitmyradov (1703), a 20-year-old pupil of the Ashgabat Chess School, also quite unexpectedly became the third, who had the highest additional indicators among five players with 9 points.

This year's Asian champion in blitz among schoolchildren under 17, Amanmukhammet Hommadov (2070) was behind the line of the three prize-winners, in 4th place, but also received an award together with the owner of the 5th place.

Among women with 9 points out of 11, the best result was shown by the bronze medalist of this year's Rapid World Championship among girls under 16, a pupil of the 1st sports school of the Danevsky etrap, Leila Shokhradova (1724). The winners of the second and third places among women were Meryem Agadzhanova (1856) and Jennet Durdyeva (1798).

The best results among players with a FIDE rating of up to 1700 were also recognized. Azim Saryev, a 16-year–old from Ashgabat, turned out to be the best here (FIDE rating - 1676), who, by the way, was fifth in the general category and with 9 points out of 11 increased his rating by 111 points. And the bronze medalist Serdar Seyitmyradov, who raised his international rating by 167 points, became the record holder for increased rating points.
