Tatarstan Rais Rustam Minnikhanov did not rule out the appearance of Aurus cars in Turkmenistan.
"The service network, which is represented here by our automobile companies, is very much in demand. And it is possible that both Aurus and other models will be presented here," he said, answering a question from TASS.
During his visit to Turkmenistan, Minnikhanov met with Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
"We discussed the state of affairs and outlined new projects. There are many of them - the oil industry, the automotive industry, educational programs, and the IT sector - we will move forward in all directions," the head of Tatarstan told reporters.
Earlier, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Oleg Korobchenko, on the sidelines of the Turkmen-Russian Business Forum held in Ashgabat earlier this year, told reporters that Russia will promote Aurus cars in Turkmenistan.
Aurus is the first Russian brand of luxury cars, whose line currently includes a limousine, sedan and SUV. Aurus cars are manufactured at the factory in Yelabuga (Tatarstan).
The white Aurus Senat car was presented at the first Caspian Economic Forum in Turkmenistan, which was held on August 12, 2019 in the Avaza National Tourist Zone on the shore of the Caspian Sea.
