Oriented on making people closer

Rais of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov arrived in Turkmenistan on Tuesday on a two-day working visit. He will take part in the celebration of Turkmenistan's Independence Day, which is celebrated on September 27, the Vatan information program reports.

During the visit, the Rais of Tatarstan held negotiations with Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. The parties discussed prospects for the further development of bilateral relations, including in the trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres.

Minnikhanov noted that Turkmenistan is a strategic partner for Tatarstan. He also expressed confidence that Turkmen-Tatarstan cooperation will continue to strengthen and expand.

In addition, Minnikhanov noted the potential for a new impetus in economic cooperation in the field of automobile industry, shipbuilding, gas transportation and others.

Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov thanked Minnikhanov for his upcoming participation in the festive events. He also emphasized that Turkmenistan attaches great importance to the development of friendly and partnership relations with Tatarstan.
