Oriented on making people closer

Director General of the Agency for Transport and Communications under the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Mamethan Chakyev made a working trip to Ashgabat, and also inspected the activities of accountable structures in the Balkan region.

In the Turkmen capital, he visited the facilities of the agency Turkmenawtoulaglary, where he got acquainted with the strengthening of the material and technical base of the motor transport sector and improving the level of public transport services.

Visiting the agency Türkmenaragatnaşyk, Chakyev got acquainted with the implementation of tasks for the digitalization of the national economy and the operation of high-tech equipment. At the postal communication company Turkmenpoçta, he also got acquainted with the introduction of digital technologies into the work of the institution, which make it possible to deliver and track mail more efficiently.

Having gone to the Balkan region, the head of the transport and communication agency got acquainted with the works on the construction of the Jebel airport. Designed to expand the list of the country's international airlines, the facility is being rapidly erected by members of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan.

Chakyev also visited the Turkmenbashi International Seaport and the Balkan Shipbuilding and Ship repair plant located on its territory, which is currently tasked with the construction of two dry cargo vessels for the country's merchant marine.

In the Balkan region, the Director General of the Agency for Transport and Communications held meetings with the participation of managers and specialists of accountable institutions, the administration of the region and districts. The meeting discussed the implementation of the strategy for the development of the transport and communication sector, modernization of infrastructure, increasing its efficiency and competitiveness.

The working trip of the head of the transport and communication agency was held on behalf of the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov to get acquainted with the implementation of large-scale programs of socio-economic development and preparation for the celebration of the 32nd anniversary of the country's independence.
