Oriented on making people closer

A literary evening dedicated to the life, poetic creativity and the upcoming celebration of the 300th anniversary of the birth of the great Turkmen thinker and classic poet of the East, Magtymguly Pyragy, was held in Islamabad. The initiator of the cultural action was the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

According to the organizer's website, the guests and participants of the evening were ethnic Turkmen living in Pakistan. The audience was introduced to the new literary work of the Leader of the Turkmen nation, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov – they read the poem "Pahim-Payhas Ummani Magtymguly Pyragy" ("Magtymguly - the treasure of reason").

The participants of the meeting talked about the work of the great poet-humanist Magtymguly Pyragy and his influence on the formation of the spiritual life and literary heritage of the Turkmen and the peoples of the East. The poet's poems have been translated into many languages of the world and are the property of world culture, poetry lovers noted.
