The women's national football team of Turkmenistan has improved its position in the updated FIFA ranking.

The Turkmenistan team, led by Kamil Mingazov, moved up one position and now occupies 136th place in the FIFA rankings with 1,075 points. Turkmen football players are between the national teams of Gabon (135th place) and Lebanon (137th place). In the AFC zone, Turkmenistan ranks 27th. Japan leads the AFC, followed by Australia and China.

Sweden topped the list, ahead of Spain and the United States. Sweden topped the rankings for the first time in history with 2069 points.

In second place is Spain, which won the World Cup by beating England 1-0 in the final. The US team closes the top three.

The FIFA ranking among women's national football teams is compiled on the basis of the results of official matches held under the auspices of FIFA. The rating is used to determine the strength of teams and allocate slots for qualifying to major tournaments.
