 Turkmen wrestlers won three medals at the international tournament in Romania

Turkmen Greco-Roman and freestyle wrestlers won three medals at the Ion Cornianu & Ladislau Simon international tournament, which was held from August 17 to 20 in Bucharest (Romania). This was reported to the ORIENT correspondent in the State Committee for Physical Culture and Sports of the country.

Representatives of freestyle wrestling won one gold and one silver medal.

In the weight category up to 92 kg, the instructor of the second department of the special purpose group "Turkmen Edermen" Dovletmurad Orazgylyjov became the champion.

Gurbanmurad Ovezberdiyev, a fourth-year student of the Turkmen State Institute of Physical Culture and Sports, was awarded the silver medal in the weight up to 55 kg.

Another medal in the piggy bank of the Turkmen national team was brought by the representative of the Greco-Roman style Umyt Berdyev, who won a gold medal in the weight category up to 55 kg.

The organizers of the Ion Cornianu & Ladislau Simon tournament were the United World of Wrestling and the Romanian Federation of this sport, bringing together athletes from 36 countries on the carpets.
