The international bike ride "Silk Road Mountain Race 2023" starts in Kyrgyzstan
07.08.2023 | 23:53 |The international bike ride "Silk Road Mountain Race 2023" will be held in Kyrgyzstan from August 12 to 26. According to preliminary data, more than 200 cyclists from Central Asian states and other countries of the world will take part in the competition, Kabar reports with reference to the Department of Tourism of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The total length of the route is 1800 km, of which 30,640 meters is climbing. This year, the bike ride will start in the city of Karakol and will continue along the route Enilchek - Saruu - Zhukuu Pass - Naryn – Kel- Suu - Baetov - Kazarman – Son-Kol - Kegeti – Chon-Kemin - Kok-Ayryk Pass and will end in Cholpan-Ata on the shore of Lake Issyk-Kul.
The international bike ride "Silk Road Mountain Race" has been held in Kyrgyzstan since 2018 with the support of the Department of Tourism and Kyrgyz tourism companies, in which about 200 cyclists from more than 30 countries of the world take part, the report says.
