Rating of the best cities in Europe for art lovers

The popularity index was "deduced" by experts based on the number of art galleries designed by famous architects of buildings, art schools, art festivals, as well as the number of contemporary artists and masters born in a particular city and according to other criteria.
So, according to researchers, in the top five most suitable cities in Europe for artists and art lovers, London (England) takes the first place. Then Amsterdam (Netherlands), Rome (Italy), Edinburgh (Scotland) and Oslo (Norway) were among the attractive cities. Berlin (Germany) was only in sixth place, and Paris, oddly enough, took only 10th, and the capital of France in this list was bypassed by Milan, Helsinki and Lyon.
In the nomination "The best art galleries in Europe", the rating is also headed by London, as the owner of the best art galleries. The British have surpassed everyone in terms of museums: the National Gallery houses the most famous paintings of the world - from Turner to Van Gogh. Interesting expositions can be seen in the Design Museum, the Natural History Museum and the Science Museum. And, of course, the Tate Modern is famous, where numerous works of contemporary art of the United Kingdom are stored.
Prague (Czech Republic) is in second place, followed by Paris (France), Amsterdam (Netherlands) is in fourth position and Milan (Italy) closes the top five.
But according to the architecture of the buildings, the rating was headed by the German city of Cologne, which is distinguished by buildings such as the majestic Central Cologne Cathedral or the Cologne TV Tower, built according to the projects of famous architects.
The second place is occupied by Helsinki (Finland) with the University Library and the National Museum, the third is Antwerp (Belgium), where there is an amazing Port House and a magnificent Central Railway Station. Leeds (England) is in the fourth position, Valencia (Spain) is in the fifth. But London was in 12th place in this list.
Amsterdam (the Netherlands), the famous large-scale art fair This Art Fair, in which more than 100 artists from different countries of the world exhibit their works, won the ranking of art festivals in Europe. And fans of non-traditional art performances and music participate in the No Art Festival.
The Bremen ArtFest, organized by students of Jacobs University, and the La Strada festival, dedicated to street art, provide the German city of Bremen with the second place on the podium.
The top three is completed by Lyon (France), which boasts the Lyon Biennale, which has established itself as an important event in the world of contemporary art not only in France, but throughout Europe. London (England) and Hanover (Germany) are in fourth and fifth place, respectively.
In the category of famous European art schools, Rome (Italy) topped the ranking. The most popular universities are the University of Fine Arts of Rome (RUFA) and the Roman Academy of Arts (Accademia delle arti Roma).
In second place is Oslo (Norway), which also offers great educational opportunities for young artists - the Oslo National Academy of Arts and the School of Architecture and Design. London is in third position, but at the same time remains one of the most popular locations for studying art and design. The most commonly chosen are the Royal College of Art, the London University of the Arts, Goldsmiths University, the Slade School of Fine Arts, and Imperial College London.
The top ten most popular art educational institutions in France are the universities of Toulouse, Paris and Lyon.
