Turkmenistan is hosting the Week of Culture of the Turkic States, the opening ceremony of which will take place on Saturday, June 24, at the Magtymguly National Musical and Drama Theater.

On Sunday, the same hall will be the venue for a gala concert of creative collectives - musical, folklore, dance ensembles from the countries of the Turkic world, accompanied by an orchestra of Turkmen folk instruments. The program of the action dedicated to the 30th anniversary of TURKSOY also includes a photo exhibition at the Museum of Art, joint performances, musical premieres and other events.

Turkmenistan takes an active part in the activities of TURKSOY both in the field of culture and art, and through scientific research in the field of studying history, language, literature, national creative traditions of the Turkic-speaking peoples. A number of major international events have already been held in Turkmenistan jointly with TURKSOY, including within the framework of the organization's proclamation of 2014 as the Year of Magtymguly Pyragy and the declaration of Mary as the cultural capital of the Turkic world in 2015.
