The Batken Regional Music and Drama Theater named after Appaz Zhainakov (Kyrgyzstan) once again presented the performance “Fragi”, dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the birth of the Turkmen classic of poetry Makhtumkuli, with great success.
The premiere of this production took place two months ago, and it is with this performance that Batken artists will go to the IV International Theater Festival, which will be held in Turkmenistan in November 2023.
Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Kyrgyzstan Shadurdy Meredov and First Deputy Minister of Culture, Information, Sports and Youth Policy of the Kyrgyz Republic Kairat Imanaliev were among the honored spectators at the show on Thursday.

Imanaliev highly appreciated the artistic component of the performance, the work of the actors and director Urmatkan Melyaeva (actress and director of a number of performances on the Turkmen stage, wife of the People's Artist of Turkmenistan Anna Mele - ed.) and thanked them for their great contribution to familiarizing the Kyrgyz audience with the creative heritage of the great Turkmen poet Magtymguly Fragi.
On the same day, the Turkmen ambassador met with the first deputy plenipotentiary representative (governor) of the government of the Kyrgyz Republic in the Batken region Marufan Tulaev. They discussed the development of interregional cooperation, in particular, between the Akhal region of Turkmenistan and the Batken region of Kyrgyzstan, which are connected by sister city relations.

Tulaev also got acquainted with the city of Arkadag, which is being built in Turkmenistan on the basis of the concept of "smart city", the press service of the Turkmen diplomatic department reports.
