Petersburg hosts media forum "Dialogue of Cultures" with the participation of Eurasian journalists
19.05.2023 | 22:35 |The XVII International Media Forum of Young Journalists "Dialogue of Cultures" brought together experts from 15 countries on Friday in the city on the Neva. Young media representatives discussed the dialogue of cultures in the media space of Eurasia. The meeting is being held at the State Hermitage Museum, RIA Novosti reports with reference to the press service of the project.
“For 17 years, the forum has remained a place where participants in the format of a dialogue seek answers to modern media challenges, present their creative projects aimed at bringing together different cultures,” the press release states.
On Saturday, May 20, the International Photo Exhibition “I Live Here” will open. The exposition consists of 400 best works of young authors of Eurasia.
The festival of documentaries, television programs and video projects for digital platforms "I live here" will also take place on the sidelines of the forum. The program includes projects from 14 countries. After two days of work in the Hermitage, the forum participants and students of the St. Petersburg State Institute of Cinema and Television will go to Gatchina, Shlisselburg, Tosno, Vyborg, Veliky Novgorod, Petrozavodsk and Pskov, where they will shoot reports “One Day in Russia”, telling about the North Western region.
“Our media forum helps to see your own identity through the eyes of a representative of another culture. At the Dialogue, it becomes especially obvious that such a boundless and unknown Eurasia is actually woven through seemingly invisible, but strong ties of dialogues at different levels,” Ashot Jazoyan, chairman of the organizing committee, said about the project.
The Media Forum will end on May 23rd.
