Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov paid a visit to Germany, where he held several meetings, discussing the implementation of joint projects, exchange of experience and prospects for bilateral partnership.

During the visit, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov visited the horse breeding complex, where he got acquainted with its work and shared national methods of breeding and training of horses, paid attention to the tasks of the International Association of Ahal-Teke Horse Breeding and the horse breeding industry as a whole, the Turkmenistan Today website reports.

German horse breeders congratulated the distinguished guest on the Holiday of the Turkmen Horse. It was noted that Turkmenistan is the only country in the world where such a wonderful holiday has been established and grandiose celebrations in honor of horses are held annually.

The head of the Halk Maslahaty spoke about the current state of the horse breeding industry of Turkmenistan and noted that a new city has been built where the Ahal-Teke breed of horses originated. In its center there is a monument to the legendary horse Akhan – the world record holder. The Aba Annayev International Academy of Horse Breeding and the Research and Production Center of Horse Breeding, the state Equestrian Circus have also been established there.

Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov invited German specialists to take part in the celebrations dedicated to the opening of the city of Arkadag and presented his books dedicated to Ahal-Teke horses.
