Long romance with "Turkmenfilm" - film director Salih Bayramov is preparing the premiere of a new film

The premiere of the film "Daragt" ("Tree") by Turkmen director of the film studio "Turkmenfilm" Salih Bayramov will be held on the Day of Culture and Art Workers of Turkmenistan, which is celebrated annually on June 27.

This is the author's second feature film. And the first, the melodrama “Gyzyl kurte”, was released last year and told the audience about the wartime events of 1941-1945 and the fate of a Turkmen girl who was waiting for her lover to return from the war.

In the new picture, Salih Bayramov again turned to this topic - war, love, loyalty, hope. And again, the main character is a Turkmen woman who saw off her beloved husband to the front and waited for him for decades after the war, even after receiving a letter stating that he was missing. Saying goodbye, the couple made promises to each other: he - to return to her alive, and she - to look after the apricot tree, which they planted together.

An interesting moment, when a woman receives a tragic letter about her husband, their love tree begins to wither, but the loving wife continues to water and take care of it. And after almost 50 years, the apricot suddenly begins to bloom, becoming a kind of symbol of the return of her husband. Whether he will return to his homeland or not, and what happened to him, the audience will find out by watching the new film "Daragt".

Now the last shooting is over, then the editing and the picture is ready for viewing. The main roles are played by young artists - 2nd year students of the Turkmen Institute of Culture, the leading actress of the Main Drama Theater of the country Shemshat Kasymova, as well as other famous actors.

By the way, Salih Bayramov himself also got into the film industry as a film actor. Then he was only 10 years old, but the main role in the film "Son" (1989) by the famous Turkmen director Halmamed Kakabaev brought him the Silver Elephant award at the Indian Film Festival for the best children's role.

The legend of "Turkmenfilm" Khalmamed Kakabaev, one might say, became the godfather of Salih in cinematography and "made" him not only a film actor, but later a director of the Turkmen film studio. Salih went through the "Khalmamed" directing school, working for him as a second director for many years, and Halmamed himself was once a student of the great George Danelia.

No matter how paradoxical it may sound, Salih repeated the biography of his teacher - just like Halmamed Kakabaev, he graduated from a music school, then from Magtymguly TSU and after that he had a “long romance” with a Turkmen film studio, which continues to this day. As a child, he saw how the titled stars and masters of Turkmenfilm work on the set - Artyk Dzhallyev, Baba Annanov, Hommat Mullik and many others, from whom he studied acting.

Today, Salih Bayramov is one of the brightest representatives of the modern Turkmen cinematographic school - he is the author of numerous documentaries, feature films, and feature films, as well as the deputy chairman of the Oguz Khan Turkmenfilm association. But, despite the ranks and titles, for many he remained the "son of the film studio", who continues to make his dreams come true in cinema.
