What they sell and what they buy in Turkmenistan: a review of domestic brands with the background of ethnicity
05.04.2023 | 02:07 |The Ashgabat Review of the trade complex of Turkmenistan traditionally unites organizations of the trade industry with enterprises of the textile industry and the private sector. The exhibition, which takes place in the capital from April 4 to 6, presents goods and services to a total of 112 exhibitors. In addition, some of the state institutions only slightly prevail over the business community, and in general, they divided the showroom of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry approximately equally in terms of the quantitative composition.
At the exhibition, you can see leading domestic brands specializing in industrial, transport and logistics, household chemicals, computers and other electronic equipment. A special place here is occupied by companies that produce import-substituting products.
Large retail and universal markets, restaurants and cafes, commercial organizations offering new types of services to the population have decorated their stands and pavilions.
Despite the wide variety of modern consumer goods, both of daily demand and long-term use, it was the ethnic style that set the colorful tone for the entire exhibition.
This tone was provided not only by carpet factories and textile industry enterprises, but also by designer salons of national clothing, bright, unique works of decorative and applied art performed by hand masters - an actively developing movement in the Turkmen market with an export orientation.
The Ashgabat Fashion House under the Ministry of Textile Industry of Turkmenistan also made a presentation of its new collection, presenting evening dresses, children's and sports suits to the public, and, of course, as the crown of any fashion show – a wedding outfit.
