Oriented on making people closer

The Consulate General of the Republic of Belarus will operate in St. Petersburg from July 1, BelTA reports. This decision is stipulated by the resolution of the Council of Ministers of February 23, 2023, published on the National Internet Portal.

The document provides for the closure of the branch of the Embassy of Belarus in Russia, which is located in St. Petersburg, and the opening of the Consulate General in its place.

The Ministry of Finance of the Republic will assume all financial expenses related to the opening and maintenance of the Consulate General of Belarus in St. Petersburg within the funds provided by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the republican budget for the opening and maintenance of diplomatic missions and consular offices abroad.
