The famous Italian guitarist and composer Antonio Onorato gave a solo concert at the Magtymguly National Music and Drama Theater in honor of the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Turkmenistan and Italy.

Earlier it was reported that Onorato gave master classes for students of the Turkmen National Conservatory. The evening concert was organized with the support of the Turkmen Ministry of Culture and the Italian Embassy in Turkmenistan.

Milana Kaletinskaya, a guitarist from the Turkmen capital, shared her emotions from the concert:

"It was very unusual! We really liked the professional arrangements, the way Onorato makes us just be silent and shudder from such quick transitions and the ease with which he does it. Looking at him, you realize that there is no limit to genius, and I am very glad that we, the Turkmen guitarists, were able to hear the Italian pro live, because it is very stimulating to become better and inspires. This is the best celebration of the anniversary of diplomatic relations between our countries, thanks!".

The atmosphere of the concert was saturated with the friendship that had been established between the peoples of the two countries. But the name of the evening "Naples on the Silk Road" involuntarily made everyone feel a deep historical relationship through the ancient trade route connecting Asia with the countries of the Old World.

The guests of the event were delighted with the Neapolitan musical style, fascinating playing and mastery of the instrument, especially those that the translators at the concert called "breathe guitar". This "overseas" guitar was really unusual: without a body, with a mouthpiece and a muzzle, like a flute. As it turned out later, this tool is exclusive: it is practically not sold anywhere because of the extremely small number of people who were able to "conquer" it.

The repertoire included original compositions, as well as popular melodies of world and Italian music, but remade in the manner of the performer himself, who was warmly welcomed by the Turkmen audience. "Sag boluň!" came from the front of the theater. After incessant ovations and organically fitting "bravo", "encore" and "belissimo!", the musician promised to visit Turkmenistan again, but having already replenished his vocabulary in Turkmen.
