Customs declarations of cargo carriers that use TIR Carnets (international road transport) are now issued free of charge and automatically, without using the services of a customs broker. This is written on the official website of the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan.

This was made possible by the integration of the TIR-EPD international information system, which uses TIR Carnets, and the ASYCUDA World platform used in Turkmenistan.

Preliminary electronic data from the TIR-EPD is automatically transmitted to the Turkmen side, so carriers no longer need to re-issue customs declarations when crossing the border of Turkmenistan.

Special "Green Corridors" have been created at customs posts of Turkmenistan, where cargo carriers with TIR Carnets are served as a priority.
