 UzA: Uzbekistan is recognized as the best chess country of 2022

Uzbekistan was recognized as the best chess country of 2022, UzA reports, referring to the first Deputy Minister of Youth Policy and Sports, chairman of the Chess Federation of the country Alisher Sadullayev.

He noted that the achievements of the republic in this intellectual sport over the past sports season were appreciated by the world chess community.

The Tour d'or prize — "Golden Tower", which is traditionally awarded to the best chess country of the year, was awarded to Uzbekistanis Nodirbek Abdusattorov and Javokhir Sindorov after the Tata Steel Chess — 2023 tournament, which ended in the Netherlands. The trophy was presented by the famous French grandmaster Bashar Kuatli.

It is worth noting that at Tata Steel Chess, Abdusattorov took second place in the Masters group, and Sindorov took third place in the Challenger group.
