On February 3rd, the President of Turkmenistan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the country, General of the Army Serdar Berdimuhamedov arrived at the Border Institute of Turkmenistan to hold an enlarged session of the State Security Council.

Here the secretary of the State Security Council, Minister of Defense Gundogdyev reported to the head of state. Then, the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the country held an on-site enlarged session of the State Security Council of Turkmenistan, dedicated to the results of the activities of the military and law enforcement agencies for the past 2022. Turning to the agenda of the meeting, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces of the country first gave the floor to the Secretary of the State Security Council, Minister of Defense B. Gundogdyev, who reported on the measures taken to strengthen the country's defense capacity in the past year. Then the Chairman of the Supreme Court, Ussanepesov, reported on the results of work carried out by the bodies he leads in 2022. After listening to the report, the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the country, signed the decree on the dismissal of Ussanepesov from the post of Supreme Court chairman due to his transfer to another job. The Turkmen leader dismissed Hojamguliyev from the position of Chairman of the Ashgabat city court and appointed him to the position of Chairman of the Supreme Court of Turkmenistan. Hojamguliyev expressed his sincere gratitude to the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the country for the high trust and vowed to serve our people, our country and the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, bowing to the sacred national flag of the country. The Turkmen leader wished Hojamguliyev success in his work and gave a number of specific instructions, drawing attention to the priority tasks ahead. During the session, the Turkmen leader dismissed Söýünow from the post of deputy Chairman of the Supreme Court due to his transfer to another job. The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the country, dismissed Hudaýnazarow from the post of chairman of the Buzmein etrap court of Ashgabat and appointed him as the deputy chairman of the Supreme Court. Also, Muhammedov was released from the post of Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Court due to his transfer to another job. The Esteemed President appointed Hudayberdiyev to this position and dismissed him from the position of the head of the Mary velayat Court. Then the Minister of National Security Annayev reported on the results of the ministry's work in 2022 and the specific measures taken to maintain peace and tranquility in the country. After listening to the report, the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the country dismissed Annayev from the post of Minister of National Security due to his transfer to another job and signed the relevant Decree. Then the head of the State Border Service Nuryev reported on the results of the activities carried out last year within the framework of the implementation of the Program for the Development of Border Troops of the country for 2022-2028. Summarizing the report, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the country noted that the border of independent, neutral Turkmenistan should be the basis of friendly relations with neighboring and other countries, and should become a symbol of the country's domestic and foreign policy. Particular attention was paid to the need to constantly focus on the issues of modernization of the material and equipment base of the service's departments, as well as the solution of the tasks defined in the relevant program. The Turkmen leader spoke about the importance of improving the level of combat, physical, political and humanitarian training of military personnel, and gave specific instructions related to strengthening the staffing of the service and actively introducing digital technologies. Then the head of the State Migration Service, Atagaraýew, reported on the results of the activities carried out in 2022. After listening to the report, the Esteemed President appointed Atagaraýew as the Minister of National Security and signed the relevant document on his dismissal from the position of the head of the State Migration Service. Atagaraýew expressed his sincere gratitude to the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the country for the high trust shown. The new head of the Ministry of National Security bowed to the sacred green flag and swore to serve our people, our country, and the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the country faithfully. Wishing Atagaraýew success in his new job, the Turkmen leader gave a number of specific instructions in this regard, paying particular attention to the implementation of innovative technologies and digital systems in the work of the Ministry of National Security. Then the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the country appointed Welisahatow as the head of the State Migration Service. Welisahatow expressed his sincere gratitude to the Esteemed President for the high trust, bowed to our sacred green flag and swore to serve our country, our people, and the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the country faithfully. The Turkmen leader wished success to the new head of the service. During the session, the Secretary of the State Security Council, the Minister of Defense Gundogdiev sincerely congratulated the President of Turkmenistan, on behalf of the personnel and employees of the military and law enforcement agencies, with the awarding of the military title of Army General by the decision of the Mejlis of the country in accordance with Article 81 of the Constitution of Turkmenistan and assured that the defenders will serve our Homeland, our beloved people, and the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the country faithfully. In the session, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Turkmenistan was solemnly presented with the badge of the military title of Army General. Then the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the country addressed the participants of the session and made a speech. The Turkmen leader said that we have very high goals to develop an independent and permanent neutral Turkmenistan with high speed during the Revival of the new epoch of a powerful state. As stated, our main goals are to ensure the peace and security of the Homeland, social and economic development, to further improve the standard of living of our people, and to further strengthen peace and mutual trust throughout the world. In accordance with the requirements of the Defense Military Doctrine, the material and equipment base of our National Armed Forces and other military and law enforcement agencies is being strengthened, and measures are being taken to improve the living conditions of military personnel and their family members. In accordance with the Constitution of Turkmenistan, the appointment of the military title of Army General by the Mejlis of Turkmenistan as the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the country obliges me to work diligently to strengthen the defense power of our dear Homeland, to ensure peace and tranquility in the country, and for the happiness and prosperity of the people said the President of Turkmenistan and expressed his firm belief that the lofty goals set before us will be fully achieved in unity and solidarity with our people.
