03.02.2023 | 00:22 |The 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Turkmenistan and Belarus was celebrated in Minsk The Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Republic of Belarus has organized a reception on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
The event was attended by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus Igor Nazaruk, Chairman of the Executive Committee – Secretary General of the Commonwealth of Independent States Sergey Lebedev, deputies of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus, representatives of ministries, departments, state bodies of Belarus, the CIS Executive Committee, the diplomatic corps and international organizations accredited in Minsk. Among the invited were also heads of higher educational institutions, scientists and cultural figures, as well as representatives of the Turkmen diaspora and mass media.
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan Nazarguly Shagulyyev and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus Igor Nazaruk addressed the audience, who briefly summed up the results of bilateral relations over a 30-year period and separately noted the significance of the anniversary date as the beginning of an important stage in the development of long-term cooperation, noting its main vectors.
The official rout soon turned into a friendly, warm meeting, in the confidential atmosphere of which an intensive exchange of views took place on the prospects of cooperation both on the diplomatic track and in the fields of economy, education, tourism, etc. The guests of the Turkmen Embassy were shown a video specially prepared for this date by the diplomatic mission, illustrating with chronicle and reporter footage a retrospective of the Turkmen-Belarusian dialogue over three decades.
In addition, an exhibition was organized at which samples of Turkmen decorative and applied art were exhibited: carpets, jewelry, national clothes, household items. And the photo exhibition complemented the visual range and visually expanded the space of the site, including a colorful narrative about the history and traditions, cultural values of Turkmenistan, its modern successes and the current day.
