The Belarusian super-fast charging system allows the owner of an electric car to charge it in 10 minutes with a power reserve of about 300 km. Its total power is 700 kW. An electric bus and eight cars can be charged here. In the coming years, the country plans to build another 87 ultra-fast electric charging stations, including a wider configuration.

Another innovative project of the charging complex is a stand-alone store that works on the principle of Amazon Go. It has neither a cashier nor a security guard, and the only employee is artificial intelligence. Based on the barcode scanned at the entrance, the tracking system, video surveillance and weighing equipment will calculate which goods the buyer took and add them to the virtual basket, and then debit the amount from the card.

The first and unique charging complex for Belarus and the CIS countries will allow servicing electric buses and electric cars at the same time, and the whole process will take no more time than at a conventional gas station.

Today there are almost four thousand electric vehicles in Belarus, and two years ago there were less than a hundred of them. On the instructions of President Alexander Lukashenko, a state program for the development of electric transport for 2021-2025 has been developed in the country, and by this time an electric car of Belarusian production may appear in the republic, the Belarusian agency writes.
