The President of Turkmenistan signed resolutions on Friday, according to which, in connection with changes in the administrative-territorial division of the country's regions, it is prescribed:
in the Akhal region – to abolish the administration (hyakimlik) of the city of Tejen,
in the Balkan region – to rename the hyakimlik of the Serdar district to the hyakimlik of the Kizil-Arvat district, to abolish the hyakimlik of the cities of Serdar, Kumdag and Khazar, as well as the hyakimlik of the Kenar district of the city of Turkmenbashi,
in the Dashoguz region, rename the hyakimlik of the S.A.Niyazov district of the Dashoguz Velayat into the hyakimlik of the Shavat district and abolish the district hyakimlik of Gubadag, Gurbansoltan eje and Kunyaurgen city hyakimlik,
in the Lebap region – to abolish the hyakimliks of the Farab district and the Dovletli district,
in Mary region – to abolish the Serkhetabat and Oguzkhan district hyakimliks.
