The progress of the final stage of cotton harvesting and sowing wheat in Turkmenistan, and other current concerns of farmers were discussed by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov with regional leaders and Deputy Prime Minister for Agriculture Annageldi Yazmyradov at a video broadcast on Monday.
It was reported on the pace of agricultural companies in the country, including indicators for laying the future harvest of winter cereals and cotton harvesting, effective use of machinery in the fields, transportation of the harvest of "white gold" and the activities of reception points.
In addition, rice harvesting is underway in Dashoguz and Lebap regions, and beet growers in the Mary region, where ripe sugar root crops are harvested, have a hot season.
Serdar Berdimuhamedov also instructed to keep under control the provision of the domestic market with domestic crop products, including potatoes and other vegetables.
Meanwhile, the country is preparing to celebrate the Harvest Festival, which is held on the second Sunday of November and crowns the autumn harvesting season. During the celebration, farmers, agricultural producers, agricultural scientists and other agricultural specialists are honored, awards and gifts are presented to them for their work, exhibitions, concerts and other festive events are organized.
