During the visit of the delegation of the Southern Ural to Ashgabat, the Governor of the Chelyabinsk region Alexey Texler held a number of meetings with members of the Government of Turkmenistan. The head of the region is accompanied by the heads of the leading enterprises of the region, the press service of the government of the Chelyabinsk region reports.

Alexey Texler held talks with the Minister, Chairman of the "Turkmengaz" state concern Batyr Amanov, Chairman of the "Turkmennebit" state concern Guvanch Agadzhanov, and Chairman of the "Turkmengeologiya" state corporation Merdan Rozyev. Together with the Governor, the issues of cooperation in the oil and gas industry were discussed by representatives of the Pipe Metallurgical Company, Chelyabinsk Pipe Rolling Plant PJSC, Magnitogorsk Metallurgical Combine PJSC, Konar Industrial Group, and Ural Automobile Plant.

The Governor also spoke about the construction potential of the Chelyabinsk region at a meeting with Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Charymurad Purchekov, Minister of Energy Hadzhymukhammet Orunov, Minister of Construction and Architecture Guvanch Rejepmyradov, as well as Minister of Industry Baymyrat Annamammedov.

Texler discussed prospects for cooperation in the field of agriculture with Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Annageldi Yazmyradov and Minister of Agriculture and Environment Allanur Altyev.

"The main task is to develop trade cooperation, and today there were very busy meetings in the Government of Turkmenistan. We presented our capabilities and saw a very great interest on the part of Turkmenistan in those areas where our enterprises are traditionally strong. These are mechanical engineering, metallurgy, electrical production, issues of interaction in agriculture. Today there will be a substantive discussion with those responsible from each Ministry of Turkmenistan and representatives of our enterprises. Specific agreements should be reached on the supply of certain products," Alexey Texler summed up.

The Governor noted that there are already specific areas for the development of cooperation. Thus, representatives of the Turkmen oil refining industry became interested in the products of the Magnitogorsk Combine and Konar; unique double-glazed windows from the Modern Glass company may be useful for the construction of the Ashgabat City complex.

The Turkmen side is considering options for working with the Ural automobile plant, CPRP, RCE-Ural (Road construction equipment - Ural) in terms of the supply of road equipment to Central Asia; there are already agreements on the sale of pipe products to Turkmenistan.

During the visit, Alexey Texler also met with the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov.
