The Heads of Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan noted the positive dynamics of economic cooperation
16.09.2022 | 04:53 |During the meeting on the sidelines of the SCO summit, the Presidents of Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and Shavkat Mirziyoyev noted the positive dynamics of trade and economic cooperation between the countries, according to the website of the Head of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
During the negotiations, it was noted that the Turkmen-Uzbek trade turnover has increased by 10% since the beginning of the year. The countries are jointly implementing new cooperation projects in the logistics sector, in industry, agriculture and water management.
The Heads of State agreed that the traditionally good-neighborly relations between the countries have reached a qualitatively new level in recent years and have been filled with concrete practical content.
President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov is on a visit to the Uzbek city of Samarkand to participate in the summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization as an honorary guest.
Earlier in the day, the Turkmen leader met on the sidelines of the summit with the President of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping and the President of Russia Vladimir Putin.
