 The Presidents of the Central Asian countries discussed the creation of a regional TV channel and the removal of trade barriers

The heads of Central Asian countries discussed at a consultative meeting in Cholpon-Ata a number of initiatives aimed at strengthening cooperation in various fields, Kyrgyz media write.

There was an initiative to create the first common TV channel in the region and a series of TV projects that will tell about the potential of the region, as well as the history and identity of the cultures of the peoples of Central Asia.

The TV channel will also be able to strengthen the interaction of countries in preventing negative phenomena in the information space, the Head of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev noted.

Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov spoke in favor of removing barriers to free trade between Central Asian countries. He called free trade, investment and the development of transport and transit infrastructure in Central Asia drivers of regional growth.

There was also a proposal to organize joint special tourist routes, introduce relief when crossing common borders by tourists, hold joint tourist exhibitions, etc.
