Turkmenistan will continue to consistently interact with the World Trade Organization, and the country's ultimate goal is full membership in the WTO, stated Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Vepa Hadjiev.

Issues of interaction between the parties were discussed on Tuesday during a round table at the Foreign Ministry with the participation of the WTO delegation, headed by the Deputy Director General of the organization Zhang Xiancheng, as well as members of the government commission to study issues related to Turkmenistan's accession to the WTO.

Earlier, Turkmenistan received the status of an "acceding country" to the WTO. This fact in itself has already contributed to strengthening the country's position in foreign trade, attracting foreign investment and expanding cooperation with the World Trade Organization, the participants of the meeting noted.

Earlier, ORIENT wrote in detail about what will give Turkmenistan WTO accession by this link.
