The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov discussed topical issues of bilateral cooperation in a telephone conversation on Tuesday.

The diplomats considered measures in the development of the recent official visit of the President of Turkmenistan to the Russian Federation, as well as issues of preparation for the XI Caspian Summit, the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
