30.04.2022 | 18:19 |The six Turkmen e-commerce platforms created 70 new jobs, raised $30,000 in investments and increased sales by an average of 33% during five months.
These are the results of ORIENT's "Buy Online" information campaign, which ran from October 2021 to February 2022, in partnership with USAID's Future Growth Initiative (FGI).
As part of its e-commerce demand generation program, ORIENT has published about 80 articles and more than a dozen videos on its website and social media.
Publication topics included the history of e-commerce and its development in Turkmenistan, the benefits of online shopping for consumers, Amazon's success story and best practices for using Western e-commerce platforms, among other key topics in this area.
Six e-commerce platforms, including 100haryt, Ynamdar, Saraý, Akat Market, Gerekli and ElektronikaTM, were able to place promotional articles, videos and reviews on ORIENT. These materials raised consumer awareness and increased their trust in online shopping in Turkmenistan.
By providing public support for e-commerce, USAID promotes economic activity in society, stimulates innovation, and strengthens international trade by leveraging the opportunities provided by global online marketplaces.
Being the leading information site in Turkmenistan, ORIENT is ready to continue to use its potential for the implementation of socially significant projects with local, foreign and international organizations and companies.
