The delegation headed by the mayor of the Lebap region of Turkmenistan Shohrat Amangeldiev visited the Bukhara region of Uzbekistan. Within the framework of the one-day visit, negotiations were held on the development of cross-border cooperation between the regions, the official Turkmen press writes today.
Arriving in the Bukhara region through the Farap checkpoint, the Turkmen delegation went to the Garakol region, where a multisectoral exhibition of Uzbek entrepreneurs was organized. Negotiations on strengthening mutually beneficial partnership between the business circles of the Lebap and Bukhara regions were also held here.
During the visit, the delegation visited one of the exemplary cotton fields in the region, near the village of Sayat. The guests were shown the technology of drip irrigation of cotton fields. The parties agreed on further exchange of experience in the field of water and agriculture.
Next, in the city of Bukhara, the Turkmen delegation got acquainted with the work of one of the textile enterprises, which processes cotton and manufactures finished products for export. An exhibition-fair of industrial products of Uzbekistan was organized in the city park.
Representatives of the Lebap regional branch of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan, who held business negotiations with potential Uzbek partners showed great interest in the exhibition. At the end of the visit, the Turkmen delegation visited the greenhouse complexes of the “Varnet» Joint Stock Company.
