Foreign Ministers of Afghanistan's Neighboring Countries Discuss Regional Approach
A virtual meeting of the foreign ministers of Afghanistan's neighboring countries was convened by Pakistan on Wednesday.
Pakistani Foreign Minister Mahmoud Qureshi invited colleagues from China, Iran, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan to talk about a regional approach to the situation in Afghanistan, the Pakistani Foreign Ministry website reported.

The meeting is being held the day after the Taliban announced the creation of an interim government in Afghanistan.

The German Foreign Ministry said in a statement that the two foreign ministers will first talk on a bilateral basis and then hold a virtual meeting with other foreign ministers.
