The Turkmen State Publishing Service has released two new educational publications for the country's secondary schools: the Literature Reader for 9th-grade students and the World History textbook for 12th-grade students.

The Literature Reader has been specially designed for 9th-grade students studying in Russian. Its main objective is to go beyond simple memorization of facts and to complement the basic literature curriculum.
