The Turkmen State Publishing Service has released two new educational publications for the country's secondary schools: the Literature Reader for 9th-grade students and the World History textbook for 12th-grade students.
Reading Culture and Creative Dialogue
The Literature Reader has been specially designed for 9th-grade students studying in Russian. Its main objective is to go beyond simple memorization of facts and to complement the basic literature curriculum. The program is structured to foster a reading culture among students and develop their creative abilities.
The reader teaches teenagers not only to read literary works but also to understand them deeply, interpret their meaning, and express their opinions in a well-reasoned manner. This approach transforms students’ literary impressions into a thoughtful understanding of life values and encourages a creative dialogue with the rich world of literature.
Global Developments and the Digital Future
The new World History textbook is intended for graduating 12th-grade students. Prepared by Turkmen authors, the publication aims to broaden students’ understanding of contemporary global processes and international relations.
The textbook provides comprehensive coverage of the political, economic, and social transformations of the 21st century, offering detailed insights into developments in Europe, the Americas, Asia, and Africa. Special attention is given to international cooperation, the advancement of cutting-edge technologies, the implementation of artificial intelligence, and the significant role of Independent and Neutral Turkmenistan in modern world politics.
The publication of these new textbooks marks an important step in strengthening the country's educational potential. Their up-to-date content helps students combine the study of cultural heritage with an understanding of global trends, making the learning process both effective and engaging.
