An official ceremony took place in Washington, marking a new stage in the development of the long-standing Turkmen-American dialogue. At the White House, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to the United States Esen Aidogdyev presented his credentials to US President Donald Trump.
During the audience, the head of the Turkmen diplomatic mission conveyed warm greetings and best wishes to the US President on behalf of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and National Leader of the Turkmen People, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. During a constructive conversation, President Donald Trump reciprocated his best wishes to the top leadership and people of Turkmenistan. The parties noted with satisfaction the high level and strength of interstate ties, which have a history spanning more than 34 years.
Ashgabat and Washington's mutual interest in comprehensively expanding multi-vector cooperation was emphasized. The interlocutors identified intensifying trade and economic relations, stimulating mutual investment, implementing joint projects in the strategic energy sector, and deepening traditional cultural and humanitarian exchanges as priority areas of cooperation for the near future.
